HET Lite

Human Eat Tech Pty Ltd (“Human Eat Tech”, “HET”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the HET Lite mobile application (the “App”).

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App. By downloading, accessing, or using HET Lite, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

1. Eligibility

HET Lite is intended for users aged 13 years or older.

By using the App, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Purpose and Scope of the Service

HET Lite exists to allow users to privately record moments, habits, and everyday life signals in a lightweight, low friction way.

HET Lite is a personal logging tool only. It is not a medical device, diagnostic system, therapeutic service, mental health service, or professional authority of any kind.

HET Lite is not intended for use in emergencies or crisis situations.

All meaning, interpretation, and use of content recorded in the App remains the responsibility of the user.

HET Lite does not judge, evaluate, prescribe, score morality, enforce standards, or dictate outcomes.

3. User Content

HET Lite allows users to create and store private content, including emoji-based entries, optional personal notes, and other personal records (“User Content”).

User Content is private by default and is not visible to other users.

HET Lite does not provide social sharing or user-to-user interaction features.

4. Access to User Content

HET Lite does not routinely review, monitor, interpret, analyse, or evaluate User Content for meaning, sentiment, or behavioural insight.

User Content is accessed or processed only at the direction of the user, such as when viewing, editing, syncing, or backing up content, or for limited technical operations required to provide core App functionality.

5. Ownership and Licence

Users retain full ownership of their User Content.

By using HET Lite, you grant Human Eat Tech a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to store, transmit, back up, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App.

No ownership rights are transferred to Human Eat Tech.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use HET Lite only for lawful purposes.

You must not use the App in a way that interferes with or disrupts the App or its systems, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or related infrastructure, or attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the App beyond permitted use.

We may suspend or terminate access for misuse or violations of these Terms.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

HET Lite may offer paid features through in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or other authorised platform providers. Human Eat Tech does not collect or store payment card details.

Pricing, features, and access levels may change over time. Refunds are governed by the policies of the applicable app store or payment provider.

8. Data, Storage, and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect user data. However, no system is completely secure.

HET Lite does not guarantee uninterrupted access, data permanence, or error-free operation.

Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups if long-term retention is important to them.

9. No Monitoring and No Duty to Intervene

HET Lite is a passive logging tool.

We do not assume any duty to monitor User Content, intervene, provide warnings, or act on information recorded within the App.

Use of the App does not create a duty of care beyond providing the service as described.

10. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using HET Lite at any time and request deletion of your account and associated data.

We may suspend or terminate access where required by law, for misuse, or to protect the integrity of the service.

Data deletion may not be immediate and may occur after a reasonable period due to technical or backup processes.

11. Disclaimers

HET Lite is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, or outcomes arising from use of the App.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Human Eat Tech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of HET Lite.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount required by law.

13. Platform Disclaimer

Apple Inc., Google LLC, and their respective affiliates are not responsible for the App or its content.

Any claims, support requests, or issues relating to HET Lite must be directed to Human Eat Tech.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
